As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a busy location, welcoming visitors, managing sign-ins, and helping maintain a controlled entry experience. You will monitor security-related activity through cameras and desk systems, document incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and responders as needed. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have a guard card or license preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific policies, completing required logs and/or reports, and supporting security-related procedures for visitors, tenants, and vendors.
  • Control access at the reception area by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and delivery records, and directing individuals to the appropriate contact or location.
  • Monitor front desk systems such as cameras, alarms, and intercoms when assigned, and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures, including assisting with notifications, documentation, and coordination with first responders.
