As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will welcome residents and guests, help manage access control and badges, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity. You will be a visible, professional presence who provides clear communication and customer service while supporting a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies, assisting residents and guests with access-related questions and/or directions as needed.
  • Control access to the property by screening visitors, issuing and tracking visitor authorizations, monitoring entry points, and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per post orders and notifying management and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting irregular activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete required documentation including incident reports, shift activity logs, and pass-on notes, and communicate relevant information to incoming personnel and site contacts.
