Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CRT-Accredited Food Handler - ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days And
  • CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational/Technical Vocational training in food service or currently enrolled.
  • Student Culinary Internships student workers meeting Internship requirements
  • 1 year of relevant experience in food preparation/serving

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and prepares ingredients for cooking by cleaning and cutting.
  • Follows standardized recipes, calculation ingredients based on weight and volume.
  • Records temperatures correctly on temperature log sheets.
  • Responsible to replace food items that do not fit standards.
  • Stores food items as required, labeling and dating items per standards.
  • Utilizes leftovers within allotted time.
  • Sets up steam tables on patient and cafeteria tray lines.
  • Communicates with other staff members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
