About The Position

Hydraquip is looking for a candidate who wants to contribute on a significant way with our largest clients and vendors to join our 100% employee-owned company. Hydraquip has offices in TX, LA, OK, CO and TN - providing motion control solutions for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrically powered applications. The Fluid Conveyance Inside Sales position is an important role for the fluid conveyance division which handles hose, couplings, adapters and hose assemblies. This position will work in cooperation with outside sales representatives, purchasing and warehouse personnel. This position will support all of Texas and Oklahoma and has responsibilities for order entry, communications with purchasing/engineering/shop personnel at assigned customers, general customer service via phone & email and general support for order and delivery management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary education.
  • Experience with customer communication via phone & email.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, familiar with basic Microsoft Excel function, experience with order entry/ERP systems a plus.
  • Sound problem solving skills. Ability to make decisions demonstrating initiative and assertiveness.
  • Willingness to learn technical products and manufacturers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with customers; team members; and individuals in other departments.
  • Good communication skills. The ability to articulate technical and conceptual information in a clear, concise and effective way.
  • Excellent organization – ability to track multiple projects for customers and sales representatives. Ensuring all information is documented and communicated effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with technical products a plus.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of fluid conveyance products and solutions, including hoses, fittings, valves, and related components.
  • Apply comprehensive fluid power and application knowledge to effectively promote and sell fluid conveyance products and value-added solutions to new customers.
  • Manage communication with customers via phone & email.
  • Learn about products and vendors to develop proficiency Hydraquip’s products and manufacturer partners.
  • Manage quotes, order entry, order updates, expediting, product issues/returns for assigned customers.
  • Communicate with internal and vendor contacts to understand and respond to delivery needs.
  • Manage large customers’ questions, orders and deliveries in partnership with outside sales.
  • Uncover opportunities for outside sales, from conversations with new and current customers.
  • Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001.
