Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 4+ years' of experience working with pump and well systems, septic systems, water conditioning, and irrigation products. Installation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced fluid handling technical product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle escalated customer issues with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM/ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership skills with experience mentoring, training, or coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal sales and branch teams as a fluid handling technical resource, troubleshooting pump and well systems, septic systems, water conditioning, and irrigation products.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts and escalated customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and recommend solutions, product alternatives, or process improvements that add value.
  • Prepare accurate quotes for customers by gathering pricing, availability, and product details.
  • Travel with sales team to job sites as needed to assess project conditions, evaluate customer needs, and recommend appropriate fluid handling solutions. (approximately 10% or less)
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and digital platforms.
  • Mentor and support entry-level Inside Sales Support Specialists, sharing best practices and assisting with complex inquiries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workflows, customer interactions, and system utilization.
  • Evaluate and recommend inventory adjustments at the branch level, including the addition of new products and the removal of underperforming or obsolete items within the Fluid Handling product category.
  • Stay current with industry developments, competitor offerings, and technology tools that impact customer service and sales support.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
