About The Position

As a Food and Beverage Host, you play a crucial role in providing excellent service to our restaurant guests.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Six months of prior food service experience is preferred
  • RASP certification is required
  • ServSafe certification is required
  • Can be completed within 30 days of the hire date
  • Can be completed within 90 days of the hire date
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Legible handwriting
  • Willing to learn and be adaptable
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and accurately
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills are required
  • Attention to detail/Observant
  • Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Must be able to be on feet for an 8-hour shift
  • Must be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp items
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests; seat them in the restaurant according to the rotation schedule
  • Provide guests with menus and inform them of specials
  • Keep the work area neat and clean
  • Handle/solve guests’ concerns and delight them with outstanding service
  • Build relationships with guests
  • Abide by appearance standards
  • Exhibit sound decision-making with an emphasis on motivating the team and maintaining high morale
  • Be a participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved with projects, committees, and task forces, by providing input and suggestions
  • Take drink orders, communicate with Bartenders, assist in the preparation of drinks, and present drinks to guests
  • Assist Service Assistants &/or Servers with clearing, cleaning & resetting tables as needed
  • Handle money according to procedure
  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines
  • Follow the guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Board
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
  • Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
