About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for Foreign Military Sales Electronic Warfare (EW) Mission Data to join a team supporting multiple allied nations with development and updates to EW Mission Data. This position supports the 68 EWS. As a Subject Matter Expert for Foreign Military Sales Electronic Warfare (EW) Mission Data your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Provide end-to-end subject matter expertise for FMS EW MD, guiding 68 EWS test teams on customer requirements and systems testing, while also personally leading the design, development, maintenance, and testing of the MD. Serve as SME for a diverse portfolio of critical EW systems, including the ALQ-131 ECM Pod, ALQ-162 Jammer, ALQ-211 AIDEWS, ALQ-213 EWMS, ALQ-239 DEWS, ALQ-254 Viper Sheild, ALR-56 RWR, F-15 EPAWSS, F-16 Falcon Edge IEWS, and F-16 ACES. Provide technical guidance to EW system test teams on coordinating programming requirements, preparing Validation and Verification (V&V) test plans, and participating in MD Configuration Control Boards (MDCCB). Ensure the on-time delivery of mission-critical data by developing, optimizing, verifying, and validating advanced radio-frequency emitter definitions and simulations. Engage directly with stakeholders to guarantee that MD design, development, and testing successfully meets all customer requirements. Mentor and train test team members to enhance their skills and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Actively participate in program reviews, technical meetings, and working groups, providing expert recommendations on technical and functional issues. Provide expert advice and make critical recommendations throughout all phases of test execution, including direct involvement in mission scheduling, pre-mission aircrew briefings, real-time data collection, and post-mission quick-look analysis to determine mission effectiveness. Responsible for providing periodic updates on MD testing to 68 EWS leadership and test teams.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • A relevant associate’s degree with math coursework
  • Over 10 years in the support and development of FMS EW systems, programs and MD testing.
  • Over 15 years in the support of and development of EW systems including their programming and testing
  • Secret clearance is required to start

Nice To Haves

  • Over 20 years experience including support of and development of FMS EW systems, programming and testing.
  • An engineering degree: Electrical Engineer with RF concentration, Computer Science or similar preferred.
  • Skilled in the end-to-end MD lifecycle, including development, implementation, testing, and debugging, to optimize the performance of EW and defensive systems for FMS aircraft.
  • Proficient in the operation of specialized test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes to perform comprehensive testing, validation, and diagnostics.
  • Expertise in operating Advanced Architecture Phase, Amplitude, and Time Simulators (A2PATS).
  • Experience designing, programming, and implementing EW scenarios using A2PATS.
  • Skilled in analyzing and interpreting Test and Evaluation (T&E) data to provide expert engineering assessments of system performance.
  • Understand essential information to make threat/non-threat determination and develop EW countermeasures.
  • Adept at utilizing Microsoft Excel and standard software applications, with strong competency in operating associated computer peripherals.
