About The Position

OnSite Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead all scheduled and unscheduled operations and maintenance (O&M) activities across renewable, distributed generation technologies, and transmission projects. This role supervises field crews, coordinates planned outages and emergency response, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Foreman serves as the on-site technical leader for electrical work including system shutdowns, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and repairs across multiple voltage classes. This position reports to the Director of Construction.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of industrial or power generation electrical experience
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience leading electrical shutdowns or planned outages
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems across multiple voltage classes
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in renewable energy or utility-scale power generation
  • Experience with protective relays and medium-voltage terminations
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • NFPA 70E training
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • MSHA Part 46 certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electricians and technicians during daily operations
  • Plan, assign, and oversee scheduled preventive maintenance activities
  • Direct unscheduled corrective maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Supervise major planned outages and system shutdowns
  • Conduct job briefings and safety meetings
  • Participate in hiring and performance practices for the O&M execution team
  • Oversee maintenance of: Wind turbines Solar PV systems Reciprocating engine generator systems Battery energy storage systems (BESS) Fuel cells Substations, transformers, switchgear, and protective relays Other technologies as applicable
  • Manage work across varying AC and DC voltage classes including: Low voltage control systems 480V–600V power distribution Medium voltage systems High voltage systems (as qualified)
  • Work on AC and DC systems
  • Coordinate lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and arc-flash safety controls
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex electrical faults
  • Review and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and protection settings
  • Ensure proper testing, torque verification, insulation resistance testing, and commissioning procedures
  • Participate in construction activities to the extent needed by the business
  • Travel to project sites as required (<25% travel expected)
  • Lead System Operator on-call duties
  • Provides after-hours emergency response, ensuring rapid assessment, safe mitigation, and restoration of critical systems
  • Develop shutdown scopes and work plans
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and subcontractors
  • Manage outage timelines to minimize operational impact
  • Ensure safe energization and return-to-service procedures
  • Document shutdown activities and lessons learned
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, MSHA, and site-specific safety standards
  • Complete maintenance documentation and reports
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and management teams
