About The Position

Parish Transport is seeking a professional and organized Front Office HR Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, drivers, and applicants while supporting our Human Resources and recruiting functions. This role combines front office coordination with administrative HR support and plays an important role in helping us attract and onboard great drivers and team members. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
  • 1–3 years of administrative, receptionist, HR, or recruiting support experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
  • Professional phone and front desk etiquette

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, drivers, applicants, and vendors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Maintain a clean and organized front office area
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating office activities
  • Provide administrative support to leadership and operations staff as needed
  • Manage office supply inventory
  • Assist with driver and staff recruiting efforts
  • Post job openings on job boards and recruiting platforms
  • Communicate with applicants regarding applications, interviews, and hiring steps
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate hiring paperwork
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation preparation
  • Maintain personnel files and HR documentation
  • Support compliance with company policies and employment records
  • Help coordinate driver onboarding schedules
  • Assist with new hire paperwork and onboarding packets
  • Maintain driver files and compliance documentation
  • Serve as a friendly point of contact for employee questions
