At Scout, we’re developing Fury — the first robotic foundation model for defense — to give U.S. forces overwhelming, adaptable, and autonomous power across every domain. Fury enables human operators to command fleets of robots through natural language, and empowers those machines to sense, decide, and act together as one. The Role We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Generalist who enjoys working across the entire product surface: backend systems, frontend experiences, infrastructure, and AI-powered features. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and likes shipping end-to-end features rather than owning just one narrow area. You’ll work closely with product, design, and research to build reliable, scalable, and user-focused software. Your work will run on robots in complex, adversarial environments. Expect to move fast, test ideas aggressively, and break new ground as we create the first robotic foundation model for defense. We’re a startup. You’ll be moving fast, context-switching daily, and helping define the culture and process as we go. This is a rare opportunity to come in early and architect the future of defense.

Requirements

2-5 years of full-stack engineering experience (startup or high-ownership environment preferred).
Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, or similar).
Experience building backend systems (Node.js, Python, Go, or similar).
Solid understanding of databases, APIs, and distributed systems.
Experience shipping production software end-to-end.
Comfortable working across unfamiliar parts of the stack.
