Gaming Operations Intern Poker
About The Position
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY Support Poker Room operations by assisting with guest service, room flow, and table needs Learn and observe poker dealing procedures, game protection, and regulatory compliance Shadow Poker Supervisors and Managers to understand operational decision-making Help maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready Poker environment Follows all safety protocols and reports unsafe working conditions immediately Provide friendly, professional service to all guests and team members Assist with administrative tasks, reporting, and project-based assignments Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a willingness to learn Uphold all company policies, procedures, and gaming regulations
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Hospitality, Business, Gaming, or related field preferred)
- Strong interest in gaming operations, hospitality, or casino leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Basic proficiency with technology and mobile devices
- Ability to obtain a Virginia Lottery Gaming License
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and move throughout the poker room
- Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities
