We are looking for a General Ledger Accounting Manager at our headquarters located in Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum 18 hours of accounting coursework)
  • 8-10+ years of progressive professional accounting experience, including responsibility for general ledger and financial close processes
  • Experience working with integrated ERP accounting systems, preferably SAP
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Prior people‑management or supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification or CPA candidate; MBA a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing or complex operational environment
  • Experience working with public company reporting and control requirements
  • Proficiency with SAP, Workday, PaX, OneStream, and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate general ledger accounting and financial close activities, including preparation, review, and consolidation of internal and external financial statements
  • Partner with HR and payroll teams for payroll, fringe benefits, and post‑retirement benefit plans accounting, including review of related accruals and reconciliations
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results in accordance with US GAAP
  • Review and analyze balance sheet and P&L account activity, cash flow, working capital, and other sources and uses; identify and resolve variances and issues
  • Maintain ongoing evaluation of accounting data integrity, internal controls, and accounting procedures; recommend and implement process improvements
  • Serve as a key liaison with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support internal audits, external audits, government reporting, and tax reporting requirements
  • Support SEC reporting activities, including preparation, coordination, and review of schedules and support
  • Lead and develop accounting staff, including review of work product, coaching, performance management, and career development of direct reports
  • Support the implementation and optimization of SAP, payroll, and financial reporting systems to streamline accounting processes and enhance analytical capabilities
  • Participate in special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as needed
