We are looking for a General Ledger Accounting Manager at our headquarters located in Dallas, TX.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum 18 hours of accounting coursework)
8-10+ years of progressive professional accounting experience, including responsibility for general ledger and financial close processes
Experience working with integrated ERP accounting systems, preferably SAP
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
Prior people‑management or supervisory experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Nice To Haves

CPA certification or CPA candidate; MBA a plus
Experience in a manufacturing or complex operational environment
Experience working with public company reporting and control requirements
Proficiency with SAP, Workday, PaX, OneStream, and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

Oversee corporate general ledger accounting and financial close activities, including preparation, review, and consolidation of internal and external financial statements
Partner with HR and payroll teams for payroll, fringe benefits, and post‑retirement benefit plans accounting, including review of related accruals and reconciliations
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results in accordance with US GAAP
Review and analyze balance sheet and P&L account activity, cash flow, working capital, and other sources and uses; identify and resolve variances and issues
Maintain ongoing evaluation of accounting data integrity, internal controls, and accounting procedures; recommend and implement process improvements
Serve as a key liaison with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support internal audits, external audits, government reporting, and tax reporting requirements
Support SEC reporting activities, including preparation, coordination, and review of schedules and support
Lead and develop accounting staff, including review of work product, coaching, performance management, and career development of direct reports
Support the implementation and optimization of SAP, payroll, and financial reporting systems to streamline accounting processes and enhance analytical capabilities
Participate in special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as needed
