Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, post secondary education in hospitality, retail, or a related field preferred
  • Two to four years of supervisory or management experience in retail, food service, or hospitality required
  • Polished, professional, and guest focused demeanor
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage guests and team members
  • Proven leadership ability with a hands on, collaborative approach
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of food handling, merchandising, and retail operations
  • Ability to manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while overseeing store operations
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to approximately 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout retail, storage, and food service areas
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, guest facing environment
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including heat, cold, noise, and outdoor environments
  • Ability to maintain a composed, professional leadership presence during peak service periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hotel, resort, or food focused retail environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the General Store, ensuring a welcoming, well organized, and guest focused retail experience
  • Maintain elevated service standards that align with the property’s overall hospitality and food and beverage philosophy
  • Lead, train, and develop General Store team members to deliver warm, knowledgeable, and efficient service
  • Oversee food and beverage offerings within the General Store, ensuring quality, freshness, presentation, and proper handling standards
  • Collaborate with Food and Beverage leadership on product selection, seasonal offerings, and pricing strategy
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, receiving, and storage to ensure accuracy, freshness, and cost control
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and review variances to support accountability and financial performance
  • Oversee merchandising standards, product displays, and cleanliness throughout the store
  • Monitor sales trends and guest preferences to inform product mix and seasonal planning
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations as applicable
  • Assist with scheduling, labor management, and payroll processes for General Store staff
  • Support operational communication between the General Store and broader food and beverage operations
  • Assist as Manager on Duty for food and beverage operations as needed, supporting outlets during peak periods
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall food and beverage and property objectives
