GIS Mobile Application Developer

We are seeking a GIS Mobile Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain mobile and geospatial applications that support mission-driven operations. This role focuses on building mobile applications for Android and iOS devices while integrating geospatial technologies and services into scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience with GIS applications, mobile development frameworks, and modern DevOps practices, and enjoys working in collaborative Agile environments.
Requirements
- Experience developing software applications in a professional environment
- Experience developing mobile applications for Android and/or iOS devices
- Experience working with GIS technologies, applications, and geospatial services
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and design user interfaces
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience using Jira for development tracking and sprint management
- Experience managing source code with GitHub or GitLab
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience using development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, and Xcode
- Experience developing applications using Node.js and JavaScript
- Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms
- Build and support applications that leverage Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) technologies and services
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather functional requirements, define concepts of operation, and design UI/UX experiences
- Participate in Agile development cycles and manage iterative software releases
- Track development activities and sprint progress using Jira
- Manage source code repositories using GitHub or GitLab
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
- Build and manage containerized applications using Docker in scalable environments
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure application quality and reliability
- Provide technical support and training to users and project stakeholders
- Work closely with small development teams to plan and deliver software solutions
