About The Position
The Equipment Manager (EM) reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and assists in overseeing the daily operations of the Golf Course Maintenance (GCM) Facility.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of reel and bed knife grinding - experience with Foley Grinders
- Experience with Toro and John Deere cutting units
- Able to quickly and efficiently diagnose issues with turf equipment
- Must have basic computer knowledge to oversee related budgets
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues on all maintenance equipment including gas, diesel, and electric units.
- Ensure all reel and rotary units are cutting properly and at the proper height of cut.
- Assist in continued training for the turf technicians on proper usage and maintenance of all equipment.
- Schedule, conduct, and record preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment
- Communicate with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents about any issues relating to maintenance and repair of all equipment.
- Manage, coordinate, and develop the Assistant Mechanic.
- Must be able to comply with all OSHA safety standards and practices.
