For more information about us, visit our website https://www.peacockgapgolfclub.com POSITION SUMMARY: Marshals support the Golf Operation by providing excellent customer service on the first tee and golf course, monitor and regulate an acceptable pace of play, enforce golf car rules, and assist with any other duties as defined by the golf shop.

Requirements

  • Understanding of golf terminology
  • Experience on a golf course, knowing the appropriate pace of play, issues to be aware of, etc.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a related position desirable
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Must possess a friendly, open, approachable personality
  • High school degree, GED or equivalent
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, especially weekends, up to 4 or 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor first tee traffic
  • Ensure guests begin their rounds at specified starting times
  • Monitor that all guests have paid the appropriate fees (walking/riding)
  • Communicate to all guests golf cart rules for the day, established pace of play guidelines, and proper golf course etiquette
  • Communicate with golf shop of any modifications to starting times
  • Communicate to golf shop any situations that require assistance
  • Monitor golf course pace of play
  • Ensure guests are adhering to Peacock Gap’s established pace of play guidelines
  • Monitor golf cart traffic near the Range building to monitor speed and ensure carts are stopping at the stop signs and yielding to pedestrians.
  • Communicate to guests if a pace of play issue arises
  • Assist groups that have fallen behind in making up time
  • Assist with tournament operations (golf course preparation, golf car staging, greeting guests, lead-out etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.
