This position assists staff with the funds and program, the position will assist individuals with contaminated water gain access to safe drinking water for themselves and their families. The Water Supply Restoration Funding Program provides access to safe drinking water to well owners with contaminated wells in Florida. The incumbent will be required to work 40-hour work weeks, Monday through Friday, and be present for work between the core hours of 9AM – 3PM on site at your workstation. Compliance with the processing requirements of Chapter 215.422, F.S. is mandatory. Persistent failure to comply with this section by any agency of the state shall constitute good cause for discharge of employees duly found responsible, or predominantly responsible, for failure to comply. Establishes timetables for completion of contract tasks and maintains the records for Water Supply Restoration. Provide directions to program contractors for the organization and handling of program related records. Provides fiscal tracking for program activities. Updates program’s project database and online document repository(ies) and internal tracking controls with fiscal, property location, and participant(s) information. Prepares and maintains accurate reports and records describing activities in the assigned area of responsibility including documentation for program files. Consults with program supervisors and staff to develop recommended solutions for programmatic operational issues or problems that are noted. Analyzes financial disbursement/payment requests. This includes reviewing requests for mathematical accuracy, proper documentation of costs, compliance with state and federal regulations and agreements, preparing disbursement/payment authorization forms, and maintaining disbursement spreadsheets for individual projects. Uses spreadsheet software and database to complete disbursements. Maintains knowledge of current administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, and directives related to programmatic work activities, contracts, and disbursements/payments. Prepares and coordinates contract amendments. These agreements shall be drafted in accordance with the DEP approved template, as revised annually. Responsible for managing contracts and grant projects by reviewing and approving disbursement requests and tracking progress reports as applicable. Provides technical assistance for projects requiring section expertise, as assigned by supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
