About The Position

Must be registered and enrolled in a Nichols College graduate degree program and maintain a 3.0 GPA. This graduate assistant position is a 12-month, 20 hour/week position; summers and winter break are not included.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and event logistics.
  • Experience planning and executing events, including scheduling, promotion, and dayof coordination.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) and creating engaging digital content.
  • Basic experience with WordPress.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional, and engaging messaging.

Responsibilities

  • IWL Event Programming Coordinate and deliver five key leadership initiatives to women students throughout the academic year: Women’s Leadership Lunches, WIN Professional Mentorship Program, Drive Confidence Golf Clinic, Bison to Boardroom networking opportunities, and the Empowering Women of Nichols Month events.
  • Design and implement additional programs, workshops, and speaker series based on student feedback, trends in leadership, and institutional priorities.
  • Partner across departments to co-sponsor events that align with the IWL mission.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess impact and gather insight into improvement.
  • Maintain a master calendar of events and ensure timely communication and promotion.
  • Student Leadership Team Oversight Supervise a team of 8 -12 student leaders.
  • Facilitate 1-on-1 and regular team meetings to foster collaboration, share updates, and encourage new ideas.
  • Support student-planned events, provide budgetary guidelines, order supplies, securing campus venues, ensuring timely event marketing and registration, and helping with event set-up and execution.
  • Conduct mid-year and end-of-year evaluations to assess student leadership performance and program outcomes.
  • Research Support faculty and student-led research initiatives related to gender equity and leadership.
  • Marketing and Brand Development Develop and implement marketing strategies, including social media, email newsletters, and print materials.
  • Maintain and update the IWL website with current events, resources, and impact stories.
  • Institutional and Community Representation Represent IWL at campus events, community functions, and professional conferences.
