The Springs Rescue Mission (SRM) Grant Billing Administrator helps bring clarity and streamlined solutions to cross-departmental grant administrative functions. A qualified candidate must be highly attentive to detail, work effectively across teams, have strong organizational skills, and easily adapt to a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree or equivalent desired
  • Prior experience working with state, federal, and/or private grants strongly preferred
  • Data tracking experience is highly desirable
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office
  • High comfort level in working in an autonomous office setting
  • Collective and/or collaborative problem-solving skills a must

  • Serves as an advocate for the homeless and raises awareness of the needs and concern for the addicted and those in poverty, engaging others within one’s influence of greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of this population in Colorado Springs.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert time management skills for the completion and submission of monthly client tracking data.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and able to effectively multi-task
  • Comfortable with data entry and client tracking and working with Excel spreadsheets

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

  • Continuously: adequate vision and hearing, frequent computer screen usage, good mental condition to withstand consistently medium to high levels of stress.

Responsibilities

  • Completing data reporting for major grants (to include CBMS for Employment First, Neighborly for other government contracts, and others as assigned)
  • Attends grant partner meetings and webinars to serve as the SRM resource on relevant grant partner updates.
  • Working alongside the Director of Philanthropy and Stewardship, provides relevant updates to other departments/teams.
  • Provides training for other departments related to grant contract execution.
  • For Employment First, this would include assessing existing knowledge gaps, prioritizing and sequencing training topics, and delivering training to serve program teams with clarity and streamlined solutions.
  • Develop tools to serve program teams with executing grant program requirements.
  • Use insights from data reporting to help identify solutions that would help accomplish improved billing capacity and improved program execution of grant requirements
  • Assists cross-departmental team in executing grant requirements as needed.
  • Gathering paperwork for billing functions as needed.
  • Bring organization, evaluation and consistency to SRM contracts.
  • Assist Director of Philanthropy and Stewardship in the grant administration functions of both public and private funders.
  • Attend all required meetings and review SRM emails regularly.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
