About The Position

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort is looking to hire a Grounds and Landscaping Assistant Manager to oversee our landscape and garden operations. Our ideal candidate will be fully capable in supervising a crew of 8-10 team members in all aspects of lawn care, groundskeeping and gardening, and will maintain our tradition of beautifully established and award winning facilities. This position will also assist in inventory management and maintenance of all associated equipment.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience with horticultural knowledge and team management ability, with heavy equipment operator skills preferred
• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously, with a strong ability to follow up in a fast paced environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maintain a flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of approximately 8-10 crew members year round
• Oversee daily watering and deadheading of all plant material on property, along with weeding and cleaning of all landscape beds and resort cosmetic related items for proper appearance and functionality
• Complete weekly schedule for all landscaping projects, including plant feeding and lawn maintenance for the crew to complete
• Manage the inventory control of tools, supplies, hardware, equipment, safety gear, employee uniforms, and providing management with a weekly ordering list
• Ensure all landscaping equipment and power tools are functioning at all times and repair if needed
• Responsible for seasonal property maintenance, such as snow removal
