About The Position

We are currently seeking a Group Junior Commercial Analyst to join our team. This role plays an important part in supporting senior and regional retail management through timely financial analysis, reporting and insights that help drive business performance and profitability.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with data, identifying trends and contributing to decision-making in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar analytical role, ideally within retail or a multi-site inventory-based business.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (knowledge of VBA is advantageous).
• Exposure to Business Intelligence tools or reporting systems.
• Understanding of SQL or other programming languages (desirable but not essential).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to stakeholders.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of SQL or other programming languages (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Preparing and distributing daily, weekly and monthly sales reports (Daily, WTD and MTD).
• Producing month-end sales and gross profit reporting.
• Preparing key operational reports including Layby sales reporting, payment plan reporting, inactive sales reporting, cashflow calculations from outstanding orders, and variance reporting and discount analysis.
• Supporting budget preparation and forecasting processes, including gathering and validating key inputs.
• Assisting with merchandise planning analysis, including targeted stock level and stock location reporting.
• Preparing ad-hoc reports and insights for senior stakeholders to support business decision-making.
• Setting up daily sales and wages budget phasing and uploading into internal systems.
• Supporting operational tasks such as daily store stock replenishment where required.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and workplace safety standards.
