About The Position

Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer (Associate, Experienced, Lead) - ST. Louis - 2-10-26 Company: The Boeing Company is seeking Guidance Navigation & Control Engineers to join our team in one of the following locations: Berkeley, Hazelwood, or Saint Charles, Missouri . These roles will support new product design, development, integration and flight test supporting the areas of guidance, modeling and simulation, flight control and subsystem control for the Boeing Precision Engagement Systems Team or the expanding Air Dominance Portfolio, including the newly awarded F-47. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Lead Level Guidance Navigation & Control Engineers. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates. Travel may be required; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for these positions

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Related engineering experience

Nice To Haves

• Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Support flight simulations, hardware in the loop testing, and flight testing
• Participate in design reviews, analyses, simulations and component/system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
• Assist in defining Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements and ensure requirements traceability and quality from the system level to component level
• Use multidisciplinary model data (aero, mass properties, propulsion, etc.) to develop and refine a complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation model
• Support design of flight control laws using modern linear control design techniques and tools to achieve design and performance targets
• Use advanced nonlinear analysis to assess and refine the control law design
• Perform model validation against test data to inform and improve the accuracy of the simulation environment
• Develop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping to properly bound the performance within all areas of the flight envelope
• Work with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software engineers to incorporate control laws into the operational flight program

• Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
• Summary Pay Range: Associate (Level 2): $93,500 - $126,500
• Experienced (Level 3): $115,600 - $156,400
• Lead (Level 4): $142,800 - $193,200
