Richdale Apartments is hiring a motivated Entry-Level Carpenter / Handyman to join our Maintenance and Renovation team at our Class A communities in Minneapolis. This role is ideal for someone with basic carpentry or handyman experience who wants steady, full-time work and the opportunity to build their skills alongside experienced tradespeople.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in carpentry, construction, apartment maintenance, or handyman work preferred
Apprentice-level candidates encouraged to apply
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team
Good communication skills when interacting with residents and staff
Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
No third-party applications or staffing agencies will be accepted.

Responsibilities

Provide general maintenance and light carpentry support across four Minneapolis properties
Perform basic interior repairs including drywall patching, painting, minor flooring repairs, and simple framing work
Assist with installation and replacement of fixtures such as mirrors, countertops, cabinets, and hardware
Install and repair doors, locks, blinds, closet doors, and basic window components
Safely use hand and power tools
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Respond to maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner
