We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Rogers Group is seeking candidates to fill a position as a Haul Truck Operator in Vega TX. This position will report to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. The successful candidate for this role will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment required.
  • Individuals must be dedicated to always operating safely.
  • Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry.
  • Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment.
  • Ability to complete pre-operation inspection paperwork.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Dozer Experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate haul trucks to move rock from the pit to the crusher and begin the crushing process.
  • Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
  • Effective communication skills applicable to position.
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
