About The Position

The Head of Data Content and Distribution (Investor Services) manages multiple teams of senior professionals through other senior managers. The job requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of the strategic direction of Data within the firm, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences. This role is primarily responsible for driving Investor Services wide adoption of a data governance discipline and culture that values information to support Citi’s business strategies and is focused on improving data quality to fuel opportunity, innovation and business value.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, including 10+ years’ managerial experience and 5+ years in finance industry
  • 5+ years in executive / strategy role
  • Deep knowledge of financial data, along with an understanding of regulatory, compliance, risk management and financial management concerns
  • Strong data governance and/or technological knowledge
  • Strong ability to perform extensive strategic leadership in delivering business value through vision, governance, and executive management
  • Strategic mindset, ability to plan ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
  • Manage through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Communicates effectively; develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Experience leading an organization through significant change covering strategy, operations, process, structure, culture and behavior, ranging from operational change management to business-wide transformation
  • Sound judgement with the ability to take a leadership position on all Data issues within Citi on all Data Strategy and Transformation related issues
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, passion for results and personal accountability for achievement
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement the Investor Services organization’s strategic use of data for the enterprise to perform more efficiently, boost productivity and better engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Define, execute and champion a framework for governance of data across the organization, including the operating and accountability model
  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide risk reduction metrics and reporting framework
  • Embed Data culture throughout the organization and role model the importance of Data Governance across the Enterprise
  • Collaborate with technology, risk management and other organizations across Citi to develop and implement data-driven solutions
  • Establish and implement practices that comply with data protection and privacy regulations
  • Communicate the value of data and its impact on the bank’s business to stakeholders
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned
