About The Position

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our Santurce office (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week. This is a foundational leadership role where you will build the revenue engine of a fast growing media company from the ground up and shape its long term growth trajectory. The Head of Growth & Revenue will be responsible for driving Platea’s growth by building and leading the company’s commercial function. This role balances external revenue generation with internal operational leadership. Externally, this leader will identify and close new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. Internally, this person will design the systems, KPIs, and structure needed to scale sustainable revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a problem solving mindset, and the ability to execute hands on.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong professional track record.
  • 8 plus years of experience in growth, revenue, business development, advertising, media, or related fields.
  • Proven experience driving meaningful revenue growth in dynamic environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate strategically while executing hands on.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in ambiguity.
  • Willingness to travel and attend industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Create and grow relationships with partner companies and clients.
  • Interact frequently with senior leadership internally and with executive management teams of partners.
  • Navigate client conversations around the value of Platea’s products while crafting mutually beneficial commercial structures.
  • Develop strategic growth opportunities for new and existing partnerships and evolve the company’s revenue drivers.
  • Negotiate all elements of new and existing partner deals and determine competitive market pricing.
  • Build systems and processes that enable scalable revenue growth.
  • Support management of Platea’s P and L in collaboration with leadership.
  • Design and execute Platea’s revenue strategy across branded content, partnerships, and new business lines.
  • Identify innovative revenue streams aligned with Platea’s brand and audience.
  • Identify, pursue, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
  • Own the full deal cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brands, agencies, institutions, and funding partners to expand Platea’s reach and influence.
  • As part of the Senior Leadership Team, help shape the long term growth vision of Platea and build the commercial infrastructure required to scale.
  • Lead negotiations, determine competitive pricing, and structure agreements that ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners.
  • Represent Platea with strong executive presence.
  • Represent Platea at industry events to network, identify opportunities, and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Establish KPIs, oversee revenue forecasting, support financial reporting, and collaborate on management of Platea’s P and L.
  • Build processes and reporting structures where needed.
  • Work cross functionally with editorial, marketing, and operations to develop commercial initiatives that drive growth while protecting brand integrity.
