About The Position

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services. The Vice President, Information Technology & Digital Transformation – Americas Region will lead the regional IT organization and play a strategic role in shaping and executing the digital and IT agenda across North, Central and South America. This position combines oversight of core IT functions with a strong focus on digital transformation, customer and business solutions. The role is instrumental in ensuring that regional execution is tightly aligned with JAS Worldwide’s global IT strategy, roadmap, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years in IT leadership roles, with a strong record of managing complex, global IT environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and aligning IT with business strategy.
  • Industry experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain is required.
  • Deep expertise in: - IT Infrastructure, Support Services, Cybersecurity, and IT Operations - Application Development, Program & Project Management - Integration Technologies (e.g., EDI, APIs, iPaaS solutions such as Boomi) - Enterprise Applications, with experience in CargoWise, Workday, and HubSpot preferred - Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) - Process Automation, SDLC, Vendor & Budget Management, and IT Governance
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and their application in the logistics domain
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders globally, and drive measurable results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership to define and execute the IT and digital transformation roadmap for the Americas (AM) region in alignment with global goals.
  • Serve as a strategic and trusted advisor to Americas business leaders, translating business priorities into actionable technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure AM IT strategies and services are tightly aligned with business goals, while ensuring adherence to global enterprise-wide standards, architectures, and processes.
  • Represent the AM region in global IT programs and contribute regional insights and innovation to enterprise initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end technology integration of acquired entities, ensuring smooth transitions of systems, infrastructure, data, and operations into the JAS ecosystem with minimal disruption to business continuity.
  • Champion and execute digitalization initiatives aimed at automation, customer experience enhancement, and operational efficiency.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous innovation, technology adoption, and measurable improvement across the region.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and scalability of the region’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and adherence to global standards.
  • Ensure excellence across network, telecom, hosting, desktop, collaboration tools, and infrastructure services.
  • Lead the regional IT support organization, ensuring high service levels and adherence to global SLAs and support standards.
  • Monitor and improve user satisfaction through performance metrics and process enhancements.
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to drive system integration initiatives, facilitating real-time data exchange and automation.
  • Enhance the adoption of digital tools and customer-facing platforms to elevate customer experience, improve operational agility, and deliver service excellence—while also developing new market-leading capabilities that provide competitive advantages and value to customers.
  • Align closely with business stakeholders to identify technology opportunities and deliver solutions that support operational and commercial goals.
  • Represent regional business needs in global solution design and drive delivery of approved regional and country solutions.
  • Promote a data-driven culture by enabling advanced analytics and actionable insights to support better decision-making for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing, diverse IT team across the region.

  • Monitor compliance with regional regulations and industry requirements related to data security and technology governance.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize the regional IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to priority initiatives and cost-efficient services.
