About The Position

Chauvet Lighting is seeking a Director of IT to drive and enhance its business applications, data warehousing capabilities, IT infrastructure, and information security program. The Director of IT will work in a high-performance environment, interfacing with many facets of the organization and assuming leadership responsibilities over the IT team and function. They will formalize a vendor partner model across IT service delivery, ensure a highly stable environment, oversee project execution, and develop an IT organization that is ready to meet the needs of the business. This person will be charged with upgrading Chauvet’s business applications and delivering highly reliable IT service delivery. They will build the necessary partnerships and develop resources to support the expansion of Chauvet’s business while minimizing the cost of IT operations. Additionally, this hire will work with executive suite and global business leaders to mature IT governance processes and ensure that technical and strategic initiatives are aligned to support business growth.

Requirements

10+ years working in IT solution design and operations in the manufacturing and distribution environment.
Experience integrating business applications to drive operational efficiencies with specific experience creating an integrated environment of ERP, and warehouse management.
Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and an understanding of information security.
Demonstrated ability to partner with business units to identify, scope, and execute technology enablement projects.
Experience managing vendor relationships across IT services and functions.
Experience evaluating and implementing SaaS applications and cloud-based IT solutions.
Experience managing projects comprised of internal IT resources, vendor resources, and business stakeholders.
Willingness to discover and understand the details of applications and infrastructure challenges.
Excited by the prospect of building an IT strategy and partnering with business leaders on IT solutions.
Dynamism and agility are a must. Able to evolve the technical strategy and execution as organizational needs change

Nice To Haves

ERP / VAR environment experience –Microsoft, NetSuite, SAP a plus
CRM environment experience – Microsoft, NetSuite, Salesforce a plus
Koerber WMS experience a plus
ServiceNow experience required
Sage ERP experience a plus
Operating across international, multi-time zone, multi-language locations
Operating in a private equity ownership model / experience with supporting IT investments with business cases and results tracking

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the IT Steering Committee, developing an IT strategy and platform that aligns with business objectives, leading the execution of that strategy.
Executing a global transformation of Chauvet’s application stack – ERP, WMS, CRM, customer portal, PIMS – from roadmap, through vendors selection, and implementation.
Streamlining processes and aligning resources to support the technology enablement of the manufacturing, supply chain, business development, sales, and finance functions.
Managing an IT team with responsibility for IT infrastructure, telecommunications, service/help desk, information security, and applications support.
Assessing and mitigating cybersecurity risks to prevent breaches of the company’s data and improper access to confidential information.
In partnership with business leaders and the BI team, reviewing current systems, metrics, and data sources to enable a data-driven culture.
Managing the IT budget
Communicating both the strategic vision for the IT department as well as KPIs for IT operations and status of the IT project portfolio
Demonstrating a high level of IT issue resolution / project milestone ownership to business constituents
Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends / new solutions and bringing relevant innovative ideas to the management team as appropriate
