About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Health Records Ambassador works with patients to process all medical records requests and produce copies of medical bills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all HIPAA requirements. Fosters a high level of customer service while processing requests in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains the confidentiality of all patient, client, and facility information at all times, both while on and off duty.

Requirements

• High School/GED
• 6 months of experience in Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle or other medical records field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Health Information or equivalent experience in Health Information Management.
• 2 years of previous release of information experience.
• Prior experience using Epic or other electronic health record (EHR) software
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
