About The Position

Trellis Health is seeking a passionate and driven Business Operations Manager. Your diverse responsibilities will include handling key administrative, financial, and human resources functions. This position requires an individual with a strong operational mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, human resources, or healthcare administration, preferably in a start-up or healthcare setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, payroll systems, AP/AR processes, and financial regulations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, demonstrating strong decision-making capabilities
  • Proficiency with office software, HR management platforms, and financial management tools
  • Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00

Responsibilities

  • Human Resources Management: Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Payroll Administration: Manage the payroll process, ensuring all employee compensation is accurate and compliant.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Lead all AP/AR activities, invoicing, collections, processing of payments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws, financial regulations, and healthcare industry standards, and managing audits.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs.
  • Office Management: Oversee daily office operations and procedures.
  • Budget Management: Assist with budget preparation, expense management, and forecasting.
  • Staff Training and Development: Coordinate and implement training programs designed to promote professional growth.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate, manage, and maintain contracts with external vendors and service providers.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the leadership team’s strategic planning efforts by gathering input and helping translate priorities into clear plans and execution steps.
  • Information Security and Privacy: Manage policies and serve as internal point of contact for IS/IT vendors.
  • Practice Operations: Maintain library of workflows; manage monthly development, implementations, and trainings.
