About The Position

Sentinel is seeking internship candidates looking to gain hands on experience working with our Help Desk team. You will spend your summer working with Sentinel’s top engineers shadowing and training to build your skills in technical competencies and customer relations. You will have the opportunity to learn some of the most innovative technologies. This internship program is designed to take your knowledge from classroom knowledge and skills into hands on practical implementation. At the end of the internship you will be reviewed by our internal hiring managers for an opportunity to receive a job offer for future employment. This position is located in Downers Grove, IL.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a junior in college or higher working towards a Bachelor’s degree
  • Major in Computer or Network Engineering or related field
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with our internal teams and our clients.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience in networking, cloud, and/or network security is helpful but not required.
  • Experience working in customer service or customer facing environment is a plus
