About The Position

Raphael and Associates is a leader in claims administration and independent adjusting. We are seeking a Help Desk Intern to support our Information Technology team during the Summer of 2026. This internship provides hands‑on experience as a first-level contact and problem resolution for all hardware, software and application problems and requests. This position will be located at our Rutherford, New Jersey home office.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related areas.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail‑focused, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other office equipment.
  • Resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases both in-house and remotely.
  • Assist with the day-to-day roll out of hardware and software updates, patches, and configuration changes as directed by the IT department.
  • Observe current abilities of end users and assist on the development of training guides for existing and new employees.
  • Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution for problems in the Support Ticketing database-act as a liaison between end users and IT staff to assure accurate problem interpretation.
  • Support organizational goals and values.
