Summary: The High Voltage Tech position provides high voltage electrical tech support to operations and Energy Transfer assets while following corporate policies and ensuring that safe work procedures are followed. This position is a key component in insuring that the facility is operated safely with maximum efficiency.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or High school diploma or its equivalent with years of related industry experience
  • Certified Electrical License
  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot station and sub-station electrical systems.
  • Perform testing on transformers, breakers, switchgears, circuit breakers, metering, cables, and other high voltage yard equipment.
  • Perform infrared scans of high voltage equipment.
  • Perform routine inspection as per preventive maintenance standards.
  • Perform testing on high voltage motors 4160.
  • Maintain records for each facility.
  • Able to interpret critical measurements and make a recommendation to supervision.
