Highway Design Civil Engineering Intern
About The Position
AECOM is seeking a Highway Design Civil Engineering Intern to be based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This position is expected to begin in June 2026. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Assist in the design of roadway geometry, traffic control, as well as signing and pavement markings. Provide utility coordination support. Assist in Computer Aided Design production Assist in quantities and cost estimates
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Must have 2 years of completed study.
Nice To Haves
- Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard Microsoft Office software.
- MicroStation and/or Autodesk familiarity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate effective time management, task prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
