Host Position Summary As a Team Member of the Food and Beverage Team, the Host is a CRCR Ambassador and takes personal ownership to ensure all of their actions are in the best interest of the business. The Host is responsible for welcoming and seating Guests in a high-paced CRCR restaurant atmosphere. Hosts help to control a consistent flow of restaurant business while keeping an open and courteous line of communication with Team Members and management. Position Functions Essential Functions • Welcome Guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, offering assistance and making them feel comfortable. • Maintain an accurate account of sectional seating rotation, manage waitlist operations, answer phone calls, and place to-go orders. • Ensure exceptional Guest Service and teamwork with a positive demeanor. • Greet Guests promptly with a welcoming/departing acknowledgment. • Lead Guests to their table with menus and silverware, assist in seating, and inform Guests of who their Server will be. • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Guests. • Answer phone calls, enter to-go orders through the POS terminal, and process Guest payments. • Clean menus before reissuing to Guests. • Follow departmental and business policies and procedures regarding alcohol service. • Cater to Guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly). • Maintain a clean reception area. • Assist servers as necessary. • Consistently keeps restaurant ware in proper condition. • Keep Condiments and supplies stocked throughout their shift. • Complete all side work and opening/closing tasks. • Communicate with management professionally and immediately involve them in Guest recovery issues. • Other duties as assigned.
