About The Position

The role of Hot Mill Administrator consists of, but is not limited to, day to day administrative activities in the Hot Mill department including administering payroll, document control management, project management software administration, reporting, back up for Hot Mill scheduling process, and other duties as assigned.  You must be able to generate reports and create representative charts and graphs, preparing presentations using Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Communicating closely across all departments is an important aspect and confidentiality is an absolute must in this position.   Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office and SharePoint experience
  • Document management experience
  • No relatives employed within the Hot Mill department due to payroll processing (per Personnel Policy 21)

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative designations, certifications, or degree
  • One year of office administration experience
  • No relatives employed at Nucor Steel Indiana due to payroll processing (per Nucor’s Personnel Policy 21)
