We are a busy household with three young children and a lively family rhythm throughout the day. Both of us run our own professional endeavors and primarily work from home, which means our household has a steady flow of work responsibilities, children’s activities, and staff coordination throughout the day. While life can feel full and dynamic, we value a calm, organized environment and strive to maintain a home that feels peaceful and well-run, without unnecessary interruptions to the daily flow. Family time is very important to us, whether that means supporting our children’s activities, decorating for holidays, or simply spending time together at home. We also travel frequently and maintain several nearby properties used for family gatherings or guests. With multiple spaces and moving pieces to manage, thoughtful coordination and consistent upkeep are essential. We place a high value on organization, clear systems, and proactive support that helps keep daily life running smoothly. Our goal is to create an environment where our household operates seamlessly so we can spend more meaningful time with our children and focus less on the logistics of household management. Discretion and professionalism are extremely important to us. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being a steady, supportive presence behind the scenes, helping a busy household run smoothly without needing constant direction. Calm, discreet, and focused on getting things done without needing constant direction, the ideal person will be comfortable asking questions early to learn the household’s systems and preferences with the goal of owning tasks, acting independently and working autonomously. Responsibilities

  • Household Maintenance & Organization
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure home is prepped for cleaning services
  • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel
  • Supervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, cleaners, landscapers)
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas
  • Inventory & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries
  • Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Manage linens: refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas stocked with supplies and well organized
  • Pet Care
  • Occasionally feed and walk dogs
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized
  • Family Support
  • Provide occasional back-up support for child-related needs when appropriate
  • Vehicle Management
  • Ensure the family vehicle remains clean and organized
  • Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Schedule and supervise service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers)
  • Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotes
  • Manage routine upkeep across multiple properties
  • Oversee outdoor spaces and seasonal maintenance needs
  • Serve as primary contact for vendors
  • Estate-Level Oversight
  • Manage multiple properties and ensure readiness for family or guest use
  • Oversee property-specific systems (e.g., HVAC, security, pool maintenance)
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, steam cleaning etc.)
  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly
  • Organize special projects: toy storage, seasonal decorations, gear rotation

  • Help with travel planning, scheduling, and logistics
