About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and supplying all assigned areas, including room attendant carts, storage rooms, and public areas in addition to maintaining inventory of housekeeping supplies.

Requirements

• Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping a plus.
• Ability to move, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-30 pounds.
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
• A Monday - Sunday schedule that allows availability to work days, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist room attendants with stripping beds and removing used linen and towels.
• Deliver soiled linens to laundry chute for cleaning.
• Deliver fresh towels and linens to room attendants for guest rooms.
• Deliver additional supplies to room attendants as needed and as necessary.
• Effectively communicate with room attendants to ensure efficient and timely cleaning of guest rooms.
• Vacuum hallways of guest room floors.
• Participate in general cleaning with tasks such as turning mattresses and removing sheers and drapes.
• Ensure that all equipment is distributed and maintained in proper operating order.
• Ensure that all linen closets are stocked.
• Ensure delivery of guest request items to guest rooms.
• Ensure that trash is collected and disposed of properly.
• Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to the on-duty supervisor.
• Report and deliver lost and found items to the Housekeeping office.
• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tiles, etc.).
• Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
