About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct all cleaning duties, including sweeping and vacuuming carpets, sweeping, mopping and waxing floors, trash pickup and removal, cleaning toilets and urinals, cleaning and shining mirrors, cleaning walls, and trash cans, cleaning arena seats, dusting furniture, etc. Control of housekeeping equipment, including but not limited to brooms, mops, buckets and wringer, toilet brushes, garbage bags, push brooms, cleaning cloths, gloves, mask and cleaning solutions, etc. Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpets. Perform cleaning for picking up trash in parking lots, and around the perimeter of the building. Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment. Cleaning arena floors and staging with scrubbers after each event. Including Pre/Post cleaning to get ready for next event. Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Work with labor agencies to acquire necessary personnel for in-house cleaning services. Maintain time sheets for agencies and handle personnel related problems with the agencies. Able to assign tasks for cleaning as needed. Knowledge -- of the methods, tools, materials and equipment; applicable safety codes and regulations. Communication Skills -- good oral, written and listening skills; pays close attention to details. Teamwork -- creates strong morale and spirit within the team; deals effectively and tactfully with departmental personnel and the public. Other Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. This position will require the applicant to pass a background check and credit.
