About The Position

Our Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join their year-round team. In this role you will oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest accommodations, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role involves managing housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with company standards, and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in hospitality or cruise operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification is required. Degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Three years of progressively responsible positions in housekeeping within a hotel, resort, or cruise ship environment is required.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a business environment is required.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, health and safety regulations, and inventory management is required.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer business application, with working knowledge of computerized hotel reservations systems.

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.

  • Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.

  • Ability to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments, management, and staff.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs/23 kgs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, work on feet for minimum of 8 hours/day.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, laundry, and public area maintenance.
  • Train, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Coordinates and monitors housekeeping and laundry activities to meet customer satisfaction goals.
  • Monitor inventory and order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest and crew areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Address guest concerns and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support special events and operational needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
