About The Position

The University of Central Florida is seeking a Housing Conference and Marketing Coordinator to support the Housing and Residence Life conference services program. This position is responsible for working with the Associate Director in coordinating the housing conference services program, overseeing the $800,000+ operations, and supervising conference staff. The role also includes marketing responsibilities for both the Main and Rosen campuses, including assisting with Orientations and Open Houses. Additionally, this position serves as a special ambassador and guide for campus VIPs and special housing guests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) .
  • The position requires a valid Class E driver’s license.
  • The applicant must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires a Level 2 Background Check through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Clearinghouse prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking.
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning, including camps, group events, and similar programs.
  • Proficiency with group/housing management platforms (e.g., StarRez, ErezLife).
  • Experience with budgeting workflows, including invoicing and billing.
  • Experience supporting virtual events and live streaming.
  • Experience working in Higher Education, with housing experience preferred.
  • Experience in marketing and/or sales.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all logistics for interns, non‑UCF scholars, and conference services.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external clients (e.g., Athletics, NSFP/FYE, Facility Operations, Housekeeping, Key Services, Residence Life).
  • Conduct site visits for prospective conference groups.
  • Complete and submit requests for bids and proposals to host conferences or university initiatives.
  • Review building usage and conference assignments.
  • Oversee student staff recruitment and supervise the OPS and Graduate Assistant conference staff.
  • Coordinate conference check‑in and check‑out procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison with Housekeeping and Facilities.
  • Coordinate training for conference staff.
  • Work with marketing leadership and coordinate Rosen campus marketing efforts, including Open Houses and Orientations.
  • Assist the Housing marketing team as needed.
  • Conduct special VIP tours for Housing.
  • Participate in program planning and development.
  • Assist in monitoring progress toward goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to progress reports and documentation.
  • Serve as the unit/department human resources liaison.
  • Perform, support, or oversee HR‑related activities, including recruiting, hiring/onboarding, and payroll.
  • Assist with tracking and reviewing program or unit/department budgets and balances.
  • Monitor, process, reconcile, and ensure compliance with budget requirements.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions and process vendor paperwork.
  • Process paperwork for invoice payments.
  • Oversee daily operations of the unit/department as needed.
  • Provide direction to ensure procedures are upheld for smooth office operations.
  • Develop and implement administrative standards, policies, and procedures.
