About The Position

Assists Human Resources operations with the processing and maintenance of personnel records. Provides administrative secretarial and bookkeeping support to the department.

Responsibilities

  • Answers and directs calls and greets visitors to department.
  • Updates and maintains personnel files for all university employees; scans files into electronic imaging system.
  • Maintains I-9 employment authorization documents.
  • Processes ID badges and/or proximity cards for new employees; deactivates access at termination; coordinates employee accesses with Information Technology and Facilities.
  • Processes electronic personnel and position forms for all university departments when necessary.
  • Monitors and reconciles departmental cost centers; research report discrepancies.
  • Compiles financial reports for Human Resources department
  • Coordinates travel arrangements; processes travel requests and vouchers for department staff.
  • Performs departmental purchasing, and processes purchase requisitions and vouchers
  • Processes Human Resources forms
  • Compiles documents, brochures, and handouts for new employee orientation, training sessions, and human resource-sponsored events.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
