About The Position

Director of Human Resources Build the Function. Shape the Culture. Be the Go-To. We are partnering with a high-growth, financially strong organization to hire a Director of Human Resources who will take full ownership of the HR function. This is a rare opportunity to step into a true “one-person HR leader” role where you will build structure from the ground up while directly influencing culture, operations, and employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who: Wants to own HR, not just contribute to it Thrives in “build vs. maintain” environments Is confident operating as the go-to resource across the organization Can balance culture-building with strong compliance and structure Enjoys rolling up their sleeves in a hands-on, high-impact role This organization is scaling quickly and needs a strong HR leader to bring structure, compliance, and consistency to a fast-paced, people-driven environment. You will serve as the central hub for all HR activity, partnering closely with executive leadership while supporting a dynamic, high-energy workforce.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of HR experience
  • Strong payroll experience
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Deep understanding of HR compliance and employment law
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to connect across all levels
  • Comfortable operating independently in a high-accountability role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting fast-paced or high-volume teams is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Act as the sole HR leader—owning all people operations end-to-end
  • Serve as the trusted advisor and go-to resource for employees and leadership
  • Build and implement scalable HR processes, policies, and systems
  • Lead onboarding, offboarding, and overall employee experience
  • Support hiring coordination and help structure recruiting processes
  • Manage employee relations, feedback, and performance conversations
  • Own bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Administer benefits and partner with brokers to enhance offerings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and employment regulations
  • Maintain employee records, handbook updates, and audit readiness
  • Shape and drive a meaningful, engaging workplace culture
  • Build trust across a diverse, high-volume workforce
  • Create initiatives that improve engagement, communication, and retention
