About The Position

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team that embodies our motto of being Big on Fast and Big on Friendly. Our HR Generalists work alongside our District Managers to assist with performance documentation, workplace injuries and leave of absences, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 3 + years HR experience and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational, conflict management, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Google suite, Excel and other MS Office programs, and HRIS systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Corrective Action documents to enforce policies and procedures.
  • Prepare Performance Improvement Plan documents for performance management.
  • Process wage, position and location changes and update records and systems accordingly.
  • Manage workplace injuries: file the claims, instruct the employee on the process, keep operations management informed, follow up after appointments, update and maintain status records.
  • Manage leave of absences, FMLA, CFRA, disability and personal leaves.
  • Assist with timecards, entering missed punches and absences.
  • Prepare and submit final check requests, prepare separation documents.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to health insurance, absences, conduct, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of complaints brought forward by employees; prepare investigation summaries and resolution letters.
  • Must be able to travel on occasion for investigations.
