About The Position

The HR Manager will play a key role in supporting day-to-day human resources operations, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual who thrives in a mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Human resources expertise
  • Experience with open enrollment and benefits administration
  • Knowledge of managing personnel files and ensuring confidentiality
  • Proficiency in employee relations and HR administration
  • Strong data entry and payroll skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based organization
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with benefits administration and open enrollment support

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with ADP or similar HR platforms

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.
  • Support benefits administration including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and coordination with benefit providers.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Provide guidance to staff on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Support training and development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvements.
