About The Position

LinkUW, is a new shared services initiative designed to transform the way administrative work gets done across campus. LinkUW’s mission is to deliver timely, customer-centered human resources and financial services to schools, colleges, and divisions. This position provides entry‑level support for payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave tracking. Assists employees with routine questions and helps units with basic HR tasks to ensure accurate and timely service. Department: LinkUW is a team dedicated to delivering quality administrative support in finance and human resources to partner units across the university. Our team will be composed of professionals who have expertise in performing high-volume or time-bound administrative services. LinkUW will deliver timely and customer-centered support that enables campus partners to focus on advancing the university’s mission.

Requirements

  • Experience in Higher Education, or other complex organization in one of the following HR functions: Onboarding, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Time Off management
  • High School Diploma Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience at the University or University System
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to resolve employee inquiries
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments, units, or functional teams within a large, complex organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the dissemination of HR related communications to various audiences under the direction of leadership
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for recruitment processes, onboarding activities, payroll functions, and/or other HR related activities
  • Audits and tracks compliance for various HR functions such as performance evaluations, onboarding, off boarding, criminal background checks, and credentialing
  • Enters, reviews, and processes HR transactions according to established policies and procedures
  • Serves as a point of contact to employees, managers, and internal and external stakeholders. Responds to inquiries and escalates more complex issues to the appropriate authorities
  • Creates and maintains various HR specific reports, databases, and/or records to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal rules and regulations
