About The Position

The HR Intern is responsible for assisting management with administrative and human resources-related tasks including, but not limited to, data entry, filing, onboarding preparation, and employee support. The intern will interact with employees, applicants, and visitors in a professional and cheerful manner while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. To meet our commitments, job duties may change, or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.

Requirements

  • Current college or university student (or recent graduate) pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality, or a related field, with an interest in HR, food service, or Sports and Entertainment environments
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong digital literacy, including experience with internet research, databases, spreadsheets, and general computer systems
  • Ability to effectively interact and build positive relationships with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative functions including distributing mail, answering phones, and greeting visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Assist unit management with clerical tasks related to accounting, payroll, receiving, and human resources, including filing, data entry, record review, and maintaining employee documentation
  • Interact with customers, clients, and employees by answering inquiries, providing support, or directing requests to the appropriate person or department
  • Support HR processes by assisting with onboarding preparation, new hire paperwork, and maintaining personnel files
  • Schedule meetings and assist with coordination of interviews, trainings, or HR-related events
  • Maintain office communications such as memos, bulletin boards, and informational postings
  • Operate office technology and systems including voicemail, copiers/scanners, personal computers, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Assist with tracking HR data, updating spreadsheets or systems, and providing general support to the HR team as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
