About The Position

A mid-size manufacturing firm in Washington is seeking to hire a part-time Human Resources Assistant for a six-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role requires working 100% onsite from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. The position involves a competitive hourly rate and requires a pre-employment drug and background check.

Requirements

  • Experience in human resources, including onboarding and HR administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Experience in screening, recruiting, and customer service.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Human Resources or an equivalent degree.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Greenhouse, Bamboo, or Workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to provide administrative support in HR, including calendaring and screening.

Responsibilities

  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Oversee the compensation program and monitor the performance evaluation program.
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt employees at the site level.
  • Assist with employee relations at the site level with support from the Human Resources Generalist.
  • Perform benefits administration and communicate all benefit information to employees.
  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including compiling, checking, and transmitting, as well as related recordkeeping.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure all legal requirements are met.
  • Promote and practice safety and good housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain human resources information systems records and compile reports from the database.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Handle onboarding of new employees at the Seattle site.
