Position Summary The HRBP serve as the primary HR representative for field operations, supporting employees and leaders across multiple job sites Act as a trusted advisor to field leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce issues Investigate employee relations matters, including complaints, conflicts, and policy violations; document findings and work with HR Director to recommend appropriate actions Partner with leadership to drive consistent application of company policies, procedures, and HR best practices Support and facilitate onboarding and orientation of new field employees, ensuring a strong introduction to Lighthouse Electric Conduct regular job site visits to build relationships, assess workforce needs, and proactively address HR concerns Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, terminations, and corrective action plans in alignment with company standards Assist in workforce planning, staffing support, and recruitment coordination for field positions Promote and reinforce company culture and employee engagement initiatives across job sites Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies Collaborate with HR team members (Generalists, Recruiters, etc.) to ensure alignment and execution of HR initiatives Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in construction, field operations, or similar environments
  • Experience handling employee relations investigations and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site or distributed workforces
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, specifically BambooHR or Workday
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently in field environments with minimal supervision
  • Excellent investigation, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (BambooHR or Workday required)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities across job sites
  • Ability to influence and coach leaders in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Pre-employment drug screen required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Frequent travel required to job sites across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Virginia
  • Must be willing and able to travel regularly, including overnight travel
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions in a variety of work environments, including office and/or active job site settings.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move about the office or jobsite as needed to perform essential duties.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and technology, including computers, phones, and related devices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic means.

  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance consistent with company policy and operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting electrical construction or union/non-union environments
  • Prior experience as an HR Business Partner or field-based HR role
  • Advanced experience with Workday/BambooHR HRIS
  • Professional HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
