Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the HR Manager, the Human Resources Generalist executes the daily transactions of the HR department. This includes a wide variety of HR related duties including hiring and interviewing staff, supporting administration of payroll and benefits , administering leave of absences , and supporting performance management, employee engagement, training, HR data, and development and enforcement of company policies and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Human Resources or Related Field , preferred or 4-6 years of HR experience in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources role

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment
  • Ability to move about the facility as needed to support employees and leaders
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds
  • Work is performed on site within a manufacturing facility
  • The role regularly operates in areas where production, equipment, and machinery are present
  • Must be able to work in environments that require adherence to site safety policies and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Exposure to noise, temperature variations, and industrial conditions may occur consistent with a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment activities across full- lifecyle for assigned roles.
  • Coordinate job postings, applicant tracking, and interview logistics .
  • Conduct initial candidate screens.
  • Prepare offers and coordinate pre-employment requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates through hiring and onboarding.
  • Lead onboarding coordination for new hires, including pre-boarding, orientation, and first-day readiness.
  • Ensure consistent onboarding experience across sites.
  • Support managers with 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins.
  • Coordinate training, required learning, and development activities.
  • Reinforce role expectations and early performance success.
  • Identify onboarding or development gaps and escalate patterns to the HR Manager.
  • Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and p rovide s day-to-day HR support.
  • Ensure employees have timely and consistent access to HR support.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, onboarding, performance expectations, and workplace concerns.
  • Support managers with people-related questions while maintaining accessibility for the broader employee population.
  • Handle minor employee relations matters.
  • Support investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Escalate matters requiring policy interpretation, risk assessment, or corrective action decisions to the HR Manager.
  • Provide guidance on policy application and workplace expectations.
  • Identify recurring issues or early warning signs and flag them to the HR Manager.
  • Support the HR Manager in execution of IDEX HR processes, including performance review cycles, My Voice engagement surveys and follow-up actions, OTC and HR initiatives, and annual enrollment and benefits activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers during these cycles.
  • Coordinate timelines, communications, and required actions.
  • Track completion, follow up as needed, and escalate risks or delays.
  • Conduct payroll review and sign-off for bi-weekly processing, audits, and issue resolution for assigned sites .
  • Administer employee leaves of absence (LOA) in accordance with state laws for assigned sites.
  • C oordinate with third party administer and state agencies, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data.
  • Support compliance-related documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Track HR data related to hiring, onboarding, turnover, employee inquiries, and employee relations.
  • Identify trends and recurring issues and share insights with the HR Manager.
  • Support managers and leads in applying HR policies and practices consistently.
  • Reinforce expectations related to feedback, documentation, and employee communication.
  • Assist with follow-through on employee-related actions, development conversations, and next steps.
  • Support managers in navigating HR tools and workflows.
  • Provide remote HR Generalist support to additional sites, as assigned.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR practices across locations.
  • Provide coverage for other HR partners during times of absence or unavailability.
  • Provide additional support during predictable high-volume periods such as onboarding waves, performance review cycles, and annual enrollment.
